Very good article. I agree, and am currently trying to get work as a contract paralegal. I know that eventually I will be OK, but am struggling to make attorneys realize how I can really help them. Some people just will not change!

I loved your letter…One of my strongest weaknesses is actually going down with the ship and never quitting or knowing when to jump off. After I was let go from a nice comfortable position being a contract / risk manager, I wallowed in self pity for a while and started creating positions for myself where I could capitalize on my own strengths. I’ve recently opened a money service business and I’m ready to hand it off to another hard working sole proprietor / entrepreneur.. The loyalty you seemed to possess for your employees and team sound like something I would beg to become a part of and help spread.
