When I was young I frequently thought that way but after years living in this world, I am not nearly as nice as I once was. I would not want to be 18 again but I would like to recapture the person I was then. Your post helped me reaffirm that and also reaffirmed to me that my original approach (which was, and is, always easier for me) to try and compliment people and be pleasant to people regardless of their demeanor is a good one. Not that it matters, but you did the right thing. Better yet, having a choice between positive and negative you chose positive even though at the time you FELT negative. You've helped me realize I've been looking back WAY too much after losing my business in the "new economy." If football players are "Playmakers" then you are a "DifferenceMaker." Harrison, you are making a positive difference in the lives you touch directly or indirectly. I owned my own business for the past 27 years, until the "new economy" ran over me. I grew from one of the smallest providers in my market to one of the largest. Unfortunately, it all vaporized in a one-day liquidation auction. I clearly made some errors along the way.
