The ego may be useful for human survival and arise in developmental stages like you are describing in your daughter, but as we get older we become consumed by this, forgetting everything we are and do is connected.  We cannot own; things own us.  The planet, real estate, plastic toys, our genetic modifications to nature--all will likely long outlive us. We must be careful in the paths we choose, the things we say and do to one another and the way we treat ourselves.  There is a reason why you are here.  Love, Rani</description>
